Greaves Attends August  Alla Prima International Events

Barnsite Gallery in Kewaunee, Wisconsin, hosted the annual Alla Prima International Exhibition and Paint Out that opened on August 11, 2006 and will hang until September 4. Greaves is a charter member and on the board of the fine art honorary.

Two Greaves paintings are on exhibition, including this one, painted on site during her visit to Wisconsin.

"The rolling hills and countless picturesque farms offered more motifs than any plein air artist could dream of. Especially captivating were the 100 acre fields of sunflowers whose heavy-laden ranks marched to the horizon," she stated.

Greaves' Ferndale Trip Yields New Work

Ferndale, California, a lovely diary town with numerous Victorian homes and other buildings, is a delight. This often-visited tourist stop, which is definitely not a "tourist trap," is located just south of Eureka on the California coast. Greaves spent two-days painting on her most recent trip.
