rolling hills and countless
picturesque farms offered more

captivating were the 100 acre
fields of sunflowers whose

Ferndale Trip Yields New Work
Ferndale, California, a
lovely diary town with numerous Victorian homes and other
buildings, is a delight. This often-visited tourist stop,
which is definitely not a "tourist trap," is located just
south of Eureka on the California coast. Greaves spent
two-days painting on her most recent trip.
